Weathering Jack Storm A Storm Rock Star Romance Silver Strings Series GString Set Book 2 edition by Lisa Gillis Literature Fiction eBooks

I did not think this second book will surpass the first book in excellent story line, but it did. I expected the usual but there is no dull moment in this book. It is lights, camera, action throughout the book. This book is 'dope', like TJ, or JJ (as he is called later in the book) will say. Even though I was apprehensive of what Marrissa will see and experience living with Jack, but I should have had faith in this author.

Yes these two had everything except the kitchen sink thrown at them, they came out swinging and on top. The secret? Jack's total love and devotion to Marrissa and their son. It was surreal to read. The H is a lover and Dad first, and the rock star thing is maybe 4th or 5th. His fame did not go to his head at all. Jack even wept uncontrollably at one time they got back together after another avalanche. The mad mad love these couple has for each other was heart warming to read about. It wasn't sudden, it built to crescendo for the two of them. Like ostriches, they at first buried their heads in sand, but they soon came out to smell the roses. Suddenly I have faith in love conquering all again.

And the epilogue, oh my, that was so fulfilling. Unlike books that will end abruptly, this did not. It completely left me sated (not that!). Get your mind out of the ditch (not gutter). Please point me to more books by this author. Sweet.....

Weathering Jack Storm A Storm Rock Star Romance Silver Strings Series GString Set Book 2 edition by Lisa Gillis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I didn't realize this being a serialized book. I prefer a book that has a good beginning and always a happy ending, which this book kind of had. I just didn't like that there is a further series for each character that appears in the first book. For what the story was, I can recommend it.
I read all three books in the series and each was enjoyable. The dialog was well written, the sex hot and the characters realistic. The later books in the series turn into more of a mystery but the growth of the couple from book 1 to 3 is steady and endearing. A fast and fun read with just enough naughtiness to catch my attention.
Jack and marissa are so perfect for one another. I loved loved this story. Those two have went through so much in the first book. Now they are forced to deal with the craziness of Los Angeles, Jack's fame, paparazzi, and a cruel evil publicist. I think all the things they had to go through made them so much stronger in the end. I absolutely loved how great of a father Jack was to Tristan. I think that made him that much sexier. When they decided to stop keeping secrets, running away from each other, and not letting the fans tear them apart they finally were able to live their lives. Such a great great story. So highly recommended!
Book 2 begins where book 1 left off with Marissa and Tristan moving to L.A. This is your typical Crocodile Dundee. In the first book, he was in her world, living at her house away from the bright light of L.A. In WEATHERING JACK STORM, Marissa has to do just that, weather, not so much Jack, but his life as a rock and roll star.

I love how these two fight. I love even more how they make up. It feels so, well, real. I hate to use that word because all fiction is based on truths. But sometimes when they fight and especially when they make up- some of the thing they say- it's just real. If not with my husband, I have said or listened to pretty much the same dialogue with an ex boyfriend. So, yeah, real comes to mind. That one scene where Jack is at the blackjack table, the emotions are so raw. You feel for both of them. You see each side so again, real. And real it is. As in a really good, well written book. If you like love at first sight romance, you'll love this one as much as I do.
In this sequel to Jack Who? we continue with the story of Jack and Marissa along with their son Tristan who brought them back together again. I must say I didn't love this book nearly as much as I did the first. Jack and Marissa felt the strain of a very new yet serious relationship which had the added complications of life in the spotlight. We got to see another side of Jack that wasn't all that pretty and Tristan got a little spoiled in my opinion. I missed the sweet boy from the first book and I didn't like the way Marissa and Jack handled their problems. Throughout the entire book they lied and refused to trust each other and then had sex every other page. Olivia was also just suddenly gone. I missed her character and although I liked the way the author used Randy and her relationship with Marissa she couldn't replace Olivia in my mind. Towards the end of the book it got better as the couple started to learn how to work together and the tour neared its end. The plot twist with the publicist was well done and the epilogue made me smile. The book lacked the spark of the first book, but I still enjoyed it. This book had its shinning moments and for those moments I give 3 out of 5 stars.
I fell in love Mariss, Jack and Tristan in the first book in the series, and we'll add at least Randi and Dax in this one. Since I immediately read the next one and the first of the short story series, I am finding it a bit difficult to separate the three for review purposes. The fact that I immediately delved into the rest should give you a pretty good idea of how much I enjoyed it.

I'm a sucker for a good rock star romance (and trust me, not all of them that are out there come anywhere near the good standard, and this series exceeds good.)

Jack, Mariss and Tristan have moved to his lavish home in LA. It is certainly a bit overwhelming of an adjustment for a girl who had scrimped and saved and worked her butt off for every penny for so many years.

A lot of the drama that ensues in this one really is brought on by Mariss' insecurities, but it is so well written that you completely sympathize with where she is coming from. And being rather familiar with those musician types myself, Jack's mood swings are very realistically written. Communication has always been an issue for this couple, so it is no surprise that it continues to be as they rather quickly end up living together with her a stranger in a strange land, both geographically and in "his" world. She's got a great fighting spirit, but so many times you want to yell at her to stop shooting herself in the book. But all in all, it continues to be a very sweet love story.
I did not think this second book will surpass the first book in excellent story line, but it did. I expected the usual but there is no dull moment in this book. It is lights, camera, action throughout the book. This book is 'dope', like TJ, or JJ (as he is called later in the book) will say.
