I found myself scratching my head on this one. The book did come fast, and the book is new. So I cannot fault the sellers. However, if we are discussing content, this book has baffled my sensibilities. In my first week of class, I found the book to be a frustrating read. I a well versed honor roll student, plenty of life experience, and having read thousands of books in my lifetime,I found this book to not be IMHO very clear or concise. Isn't that what text books should be in order to teach info to a diverse and widespread student body? I thought maybe it was just me, that perhaps I was the missing link in making sense of this thing, but after presenting my husband whom is likewise highly educated with the first chapter's content, he too was perplexed at the nonsensical, abrupt, and confusing layout. I dropped that class (my first) and will look for a different Philosophy class with a different required text. I suppose I'll sell the book back.Product details

With the recommendation of another faculty member, I assigned this textbook and it just didn't work very well with my syllabus which was focused on critical thinking and developing the resources to apply philosophical methods to problems raised in the course of contemporaty life and work.
