Leif Existence #25 eBook Abbi Glines

First off, if you haven't read Existence or Predestined, then don't read this novella. Read those first and then read this. I loved this. It was a collection of scenes from Leif's point of view. Not an entire story, just various scenes that Leif was in from both Existence and Predestined. I admit, there were some scenes that I wasn't sure what they were at first, but that's probably because I read the books so long ago.
It felt like I was able to find out what happened behind the scenes, when we weren't with Pagan and Death, which was really cool. I definitely would recommend this to fans of the series, because it gives you more insight into the story and more insight into Leif's character, which is needed for his spinoff series that is coming up!
Great job Abbi 5 stars once again!

Leif Existence #25 eBook Abbi Glines Reviews

It was kind of weird reading through Leif's point of view. I guess because he's a villain of sorts, maybe not the monstrous sort, but still a little villainous. The way he thinks Pagan is his is just so skeevy and possessive. He doesn't act like it though, but that fact almost makes him seem like a crazy guy.

There's really nothing new to the story about how Pagan became his, again it's just us getting his point of view on everything. We see his anger/fear/hate of Dank, his relationship with his father, the king of the dead.

Leif was a hard guy to get a feeling on for me. I couldn't decide if I liked him or hated him. I did feel bad for him and his situation, he loved Pagan and yet she chose Dank. But then I wonder where did his love come from? He saw her when she was a child in the hospital and wanted her, and then when she became his, he watched over her all through her life. Loving her, but still I just couldn't decide if I felt his love was genuine or if it was because she "given" to him.

There was another part of the story that wasn't in Predestined, that involved him helping a girl his age find her sister who his father had taken into his humble abode. But then it was dropped at the end. I kind of thought we would get to see through his helping her, but it stopped the moment the girl came and reminded him that he needed to help her. It was kind of a letdown in some sense. I almost wondered if this other girl was going to be the one for him, you know, so there could be happy endings all around! But yeah, that didn't happen.

Leif made for an interesting read, I always enjoy getting another point of view from an already read novel. It gives you further insight on the story from another character's point of view. I am still not sure if we're totally done with Leif though since there's another book to go. It was a good, quick read.
Ah I’ve been meaning to read Leif’s story ever since I finished Existence. I was intrigued by him and his story.

When I begin reading this I though I had it figured out what was going to happen and what wouldn’t happen but boy, was I wrong.

Leif has loved the same girl all of his life but being away from her makes her memories of him disappear and it’s so sad to watch. He loves her, she loves someone else but he never gives up.

I’m super glad I finally read this one. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.
This novella spanned both Existence and Predestined with Leif's point of view (obviously). Honestly, I was hoping for a little more insight into Leif's experiences between these books. Instead, what we got was a lot of repeat from them. But even so we really did get to know Leif better. Considering his father, he really was a great guy more or less. But like he says, his love for Pagan since he was a child is what made him even able to care for people and such. Who's to say what he would have been like without her. He only really had to resort to less than decent methods to get Pagan because he didn't make a move soon enough. It was simply too late once Dank came into her life. Like I said in my review of Predestined, I do think that Pagan was a little harsh toward Leif sometimes, and when we get the glimpses into his mind it only makes me feel that way more. He's said it a few times and it really seems true, that Pagan is his world. Most everything he has done, he did for her. Granted, he didn't exactly go about it the right ways and he figures that out too late. Somehow this book also made me like Dank more. The power he has is just incredible. And I was also happy to get my answer about the warriors.
